Things You Need to Know

Getting Around Town

  • Complimentary shuttle service is provided by participating hotels, quilt-related attractions, Paducah Visitor Bureau and AQS. Shuttle routes and authorized stops are published in the AQS Show Book.
  • Paducah Area Transit Authority's free trolley provides access to attractions and events throughout Historic Downtown and the Lower Town Arts District. Trolley route featured in map in the April Events Guide.
  • Paducah is serviced by Blue Dot Cab Company, 270.215.1282, and Lyft rideshare.
  • Schedule transportation between Barkley Regional Airport and area hotels service with PATS Dial-A-Ride (24-hour advance registration required), 270.444.8700

  • Schroeder Expo Center lot (enter at the stoplight at Executive Blvd. and 4th Street)
  • Park and Ride: Park at Kentucky Oaks Mall, 5101 Hinkleville Rd. at I-24 Exit 4. Look for AQS Shuttle Stop signage adjacent to Best Buy and ride the Anchor Tours shuttle to and from the AQS Shuttle Stop and Kentucky Oaks Mall. This bus runs Wed.-Fri., 9 AM-6:30 PM; Sat., 9 AM-4:30 PM

Emergency Medical Services
For first aid or emergency medical services, visit the booths in the Pavilion and the Expo Center.

Dining at the Show
Food vendors provide a variety of dining options and a tent with seating in the parking lot across from the Carroll Convention Center from 10 AM–5 PM. More choices in the Carroll Convention Center Atrium and at the concession stand in the hallway of the Schroeder Expo Center.

Quilt Appraisals
AQS Certified Quilt Appraisers will appraise new and antique quilts in booth 3707 (Carroll Convention Center, 2nd floor). Walk-in appraisals: Wed., Thurs. & Fri., 9 AM–4 PM and Sat., 9 AM–3 PM. $75 fee per quilt.

Time & Weather
Paducah follows Central Daylight Time. The average temperature in April is 48–68 F. Dress is casual. Bring a sweater or light wrap for evenings and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Scooter/Wheelchair Rental
Scooter and wheelchairs will be available for rental, Tuesday, April 17-Saturday, April 21. To make a reservation, please call Michelle Thompson, 270.898.7903x132. Advance reservation recommended. Pick-ups can be made at the AQS Information Center inside the Schroeder Expo Center.

AQS Photography Policy
Photographs taken at AQS QuiltWeek® are for your own personal use, and for sharing with your friends and family who could not attend. Please include the name(s) of the maker(s) with any quilt image you post online; take a photo of the quilt tag so you will have this information. Photos of quilts may not be posted to any website where the images can be used to produce T-shirts, mugs, and other products. No videos or commercial photography are permitted at the show; media or writers may pick up a press pass at the AQS Information Center inside the exhibit hall at the Paducah McCracken County Convention and Expo Center.
