Things You Need to Know

Getting Around Town
Free shuttle service is provided by the Paducah Visitors Bureau, AQS, Anchor Tours and participating attractions and hotels. Shuttle routes and authorized stops are published in the AQS Show Book. Free Downtown and Lower Town trolley rides provide access to The National Quilt Museum and the AQS Shuttle Stop.

Parking

  • Schroeder Expo Center lot (enter at the stoplight at Executive Blvd. and 4th Street)
  • City lots, Jefferson St. and 2nd St. (in front of the floodwall). See a full downtown parking map here!
  • Park and Ride: Park at Kentucky Oaks Mall, 5101 Hinkleville Rd. at I-24 Exit 5. Look for AQS Shuttle Stop signage and ride the Express Shuttle Bus to and from the AQS Bus Stop and Kentucky Oaks Mall. The Express Shuttle Bus runs Wednesday-Fri., 7:30 AM-6:30 PM; Sat., 7:30 AM-5:30 PM.

Emergency Medical Services
For first aid or emergency medical services, visit the booths in the Pavilion and the Schroeder Expo Center.

AQS Photography Policy
Photographs taken at AQS QuiltWeek® are for your own personal use, and for sharing with your friends and family who could not attend. Please include the name(s) of the maker(s) with any quilt image you post online; take a photo of the quilt tag so you will have this information. Photos of quilts may not be posted to any website where the images can be used to produce T-shirts, mugs, and other products. No videos or commercial photography are permitted at the show; media or writers may pick up a press pass at the AQS Information Center inside the exhibit hall at the Paducah McCracken County Convention and Expo Center.

Dining at the Show
Food vendors provide a variety of dining options and a tent with seating in the parking lot across from the Carroll Convention Center Wed-Fri., 10 AM-4 PM; Sat., 10 AM-3 PM. More choices in the Pavilion Wed-Fri., 9 AM-4 PM; Sat. 8 AM-3 PM and at the concession stand in the hallway of the Schroeder Expo Center.

Time & Weather
Paducah follows Central Daylight Time. The average temperature in September is 61-86 F. Dress is casual. Bring a sweater or light wrap for evenings and wear comfortable walking shoes.
