With just a few days left in 2025, we figured you might need some inspiration while crafting your New Years’ resolutions. Luckily, Paducah has plenty of offerings to help you meet your goals in 2026. Here are three of the most common New Years’ resolutions, and the many ways you can get started in Paducah, Kentucky.

New Years’ Resolution: Spend More Time with Family

Who among us doesn’t wish we had more time with our loved ones? If you’re looking for ways to increase the “quality” portion of your quality time, check out Atomic City Family Entertainment Center. This large (and winter-proof!) attraction features just about everything your kids could want under one roof: arcade games, minigolf, go-karts, bumper cars, laser tag, and soft-play courses. There’s even a cafe on site, so you can have a meal without leaving the building.

More Paducah sites for kid-friendly outings include: River Discovery Center, Vertical Jump Park, and Noble Park

New Years’ Resolution: Eat Healthier

Paducah’s culinary scene is as diverse as it is creative, and while some of our favorite dishes are more on the indulgent side, there are also plenty of ways to eat local on those days when you just really need a vegetable. Branch Out in downtown Paducah is a plant-based, gluten free restaurant with bright and tasty flavors that defy expectations of healthy eating. Try the veggie-packed harvest bowl for a hearty lunch downtown, or the kimchi sweet potato fries for a flavor-packed snack.

Other great places to grab a balanced bite: Panacea Juicery, Midtown Market, and Paducah Meal Prep Co.

New Years’ Resolution: Learn a New Hobby

As a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts & Folk Art, there’s no better place to learn a new hobby than in Paducah. MAKE Paducah is a downtown maker space that invites folks to learn something new in a no-pressure, no-judgement environment. Events include everything from canvas painting to beginners Mahjong. With classes and workshop series for kids and adults, there’s no limit to what you can learn at MAKE.

Other places to let your creative shine: Better Than Ever, The Pour Room, and Market House Theatre
