"The colors, textures, and styles of the 107 quilts int he HERstory exhibit at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah (through April 9) are a patchwork of achievement by fiber artists from seven countries who celebrate groundbreaking women, honoring them in fabric.
'Some feature portrait likenesses of famous females as the focus,' says Susanne M. Jones, a quilter from Potomac Falls, Virginia who curated the exhibit. 'Others spotlight the woman in a more symbolic way or tell a story.'
