The 2013-14 Paducah Visitors Guide garnered Gold recognition. River Discovery Center’s Book Signing Event Postcard and redesigned riverdiscoverycenter.org and Paducah CVB’s Heritage Traveler E-Newsletter Sponsorship and European Patchwork Ad in 3 Languages received Silver. National Quilt Museum’s “I Support” ad and Paducah CVB’s Cultural Events Guide, Downtown Abbey Season Sponsorship, Celebrate Quilting E-News, UNESCO Creative City Lapel Pins and April Events Guide earned Bronze.

Elena Wrye, River Discovery Center Marketing Coordinator, Mary Hammond, Paducah CVB Executive Director and Laura Schaumburg, Paducah CVB Marketing Director accepted the awards at the annual KTIA Traverse Awards Gala in Covington, Kentucky.

The Traverse Awards honor talent, creativity and effectiveness of marketing and public relations in the Kentucky Travel industry. Each entry is judged by an expert industry panel on its ability to capture attention, relate to the needs of the audience, differentiate the destination from its competition and sell the destination.
