The Paducah Hospitality Association (PHA) hosted its Annual President’s Awards Dinner on January 8, 2019 at River Discovery Center. Ed Musselman, The Coke Plant, and Kijsa Housman, MAKE Paducah, were featured speakers.

The 2019 slate of officers was presented as follows: President Vick Patel, Quality Suites & Country Inn & Suites; Vice President Josh Holmes, Holiday Inn Paducah Riverfront; Treasurer Victoria Terra, Terra Cottage Ceramics; and Membership Director Lynda Peters-Jones, Paducah Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Outstanding student in the WKCTC Culinary Arts Program, Mercedes Stuffelbeam, was awarded the PHA Charles Armstrong Scholarship.

Bill Baxter, Director of the Lloyd Tilghman House & Civil War Museum, received the Bobbi Holman Award. Named for the late Paducah restaurateur, the Bobbi Holman Award is the highest honor a PHA member can receive.

The PHA Spirit of Hospitality Award was presented to Kara Gray, Kirchhoff’s Bakery, Anita Jo Henderson, Comfort Inn & Suites, Joyann Beverly, Mellow Mushroom, and Misty Cummins, Olive Garden, for exemplifying the spirit of the hospitality profession.

In 2017, the tourism and travel industry contributed nearly $14.5 billion to Kentucky’s economy with more than $233 million direct expenditures in McCracken County. Tourism continues to grow statewide as the third largest industry in Kentucky.

The Paducah Hospitality Association exists to support, promote and enhance the lodging, restaurants and tourism industry within the City of Paducah and the surrounding areas.
