Restored 1860s Southern mansion features period furnishings and memorabilia of Paducah native Alben Barkley, who served as Vice President under Harry Truman. Whitehaven is one of the finest Classical Revival residential structures in Kentucky and is the only historic home serving as an interstate Welcome Center.   

Hours of Operation:

Lobby and restrooms: 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Welcome Center & Information Desk: Monday - Saturday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM; closed for lunch from 12-1 PM.

 Free tours of the home are given Mon.-Sat., throughout the day until 4:00 PM.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Tours of the antebellum home are available at this time but a mask is required.

Pardon the mess, the historic home is undergoing some routine maintenance but is still open to the public! Follow the progress and learn about the process with Paducah Drone.
