- About Paducah
The Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail chronicles the Corps of Discovery Expedition led by Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, 1803-1806. In May 2019, the trail was extended to include the Eastern Legacy which trails the Ohio River from its beginning in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to its mouth in Cairo, Illinois and on to St. Louis, Missouri.
Follow the self-guided tour maps below, and look for the sign symbols designating notable local sites related to the expedition. These include the 1905 William Clark Market House Museum, life-size statues of figures from the Lewis and Clark expedition at the National Quilt Museum, Floodwall Murals, River Discovery Center and Paducah's Riverfront.
Looking for an official cancellation? National Park Passport Holders can get their Lewis & Clark NHT stamp at the Paducah Visitors Bureau. Junior Rangers seeking their Lewis & Clark program packet can find them at the River Discovery Center.
