Zoom Link:
Meeting ID: 841 9396 7580 Password: cemetery
Led by local historian Roy Hensel.
Hensel will give a presentation on fascinating “residents” of Oak Grove Cemetery who contributed to Paducah’s history, some honorable others somewhat notorious. A brief synopsis of each will be presented as well as visuals to make each person’s life “come to life,” so to say.
For those who think they know the story of Della Barnes, now “the rest of the story” will be told!
Hensel is a graduate of William Paterson University, Wayne, NJ with a BA in Elementary Education and a masters in Elementary Education from Murray State University. He retired from teaching a total of 44 years. He provides the Hands on History programs for students in the Jackson Purchase region.
Hensel serves as a Paducah Ambassador. He is an active board member for the William Clark Market House Museum and the McCracken County Public Library. Hensel is a talented actor, having been involved with the Market House Theatre for over 35 years.
