Montana Pritchard is a highly recognized commercial photographer based in West Palm Beach, Florida, who has earned widespread acclaim for his vision and technical skills. Montana has been shooting editorial and commercial work since 1993, including domestic and international ad campaigns for American Express, Jamba Juice, The PGA of America, Ritz Carlton, Bolle, Bushnell, and more. Long sponsored by Nikon USA, Montana has realigned with Sony and recently represented them in Hawaii. He has considerable experience in the field of food photography having shot for and shared a studio/commercial kitchen with Master Chef Jeremy Hanlon, winner of the National Restaurant Associations Hot Chef Challenge.
This three-day workshop provides a brief overview of photographic basics before delving in-depth into food photography lighting techniques; prop selection to tell your story; set-up for raw ingredients and prepared food; styling and preparing the plate; shooting beverages; shooting food and drink for social media; and setting up and shooting at a splash station. The final day will focus on processing images, editing, client relations, and the business of photography. This class will be of benefit to chefs as well as photographers looking to expand their experience, range, and client base. July 13-15 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Paducah School of Art & Design.
