Needlefelt a Donkey with Patience Renzullli at Ephemera Paducah

Donkey! Now say it again with the Shrek voice in your head! Donkey!

Spend two days in the Studio with Sarafina Certified Instructor, Patience Renzulli and learn a bunch of new needlefelting tips and techniques as you sculpt your very own Donkey! (Donkey!) Your Supply Pack will include everything you need to make one Donkey approximately 6″ at shoulder and 9″ long.

  • Armature wires
  • Core wool
  • Top Coat
  • Suri alpaca for mane, tail, and lashes
  • Detail Wool Colors

Needle felting is a process that uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create this denser material called felt. Felting needles are used to entangle the fibers. And, it’s so. much. stinking. fun.

The Donkey is Level 3. Please note, this is NOT a beginner project. You will need some experience to be successful in class.

Minimum age to participate is 12
