Through the use of copper and color, workshop instructor and metalsmith artist Shand Stamper will introduce students to a variety of beginning metalworking techniques. In the morning you will stamp, drill, texture, and color copper charms and ornaments. That afternoon, students will add color through juicy, bright, glass enamels applied to the copper. Participants will take home at least two (2) finished projects (earrings and pendants in various sizes and shapes). If you work quickly, we’ll have extra blanks on hand for purchase! This is a perfect class for beginners or those who would like to expand their jewelry-making skills. All supplies are included, however if you work better with extra light and magnification, please bring a work lamp, as well as any magnification tools you’ll find helpful. There will be a break for lunch.
