Overview

With astronomer, author, speaker, and former NASA consultant Kevin Manning. On August 21, 2017, Paducah will be in the path of totality for a total solar eclipse, the first of its kind in over 40 years. For 2 minutes and 19 seconds, daytime will become twilight and the sun's corona will shimmer in a darkened sky. Following a presentation in the meeting room, we will head outdoors to the library garden (weather permitting) to view celestial objects in the night sky through a powerful telescope.
