Paducah is pleased to announce the hiring of Amina Watkins as Group Travel Sales Manager for the Paducah Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).

Watkins is a graduate of Reidland High School and Murray State University. She spent two years as Assistant General Manager at Drury Inn in Paducah before joining the Paducah CVB. Watkins’ role at the CVB is to assist travel groups in making the decision to visit Paducah and to aid them in the planning process.

“Paducah CVB is excited to have a team member dedicated to the group travel market in the post-pandemic era,” said Mary Hammond, Executive Director of the Paducah Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The pent-up demand of people wanting to travel is real; Paducah offers an authentic community full of cultural heritage and creativity for groups of visitors both small and large.”

Watkins is an active member of the Paducah community. She has served as a member of multiple committees and boards, including the Paducah Public School Equity Audit Committee, the Paducah Diversity Advocacy Board and the Paducah NAACP. In addition, she currently serves as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Facilitator for Provider Enrichment Services and as a United Way PALS Mentor.

"I am very blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the CVB,” said Watkins. “Anyone who knows me, knows that I love Paducah. I look forward to helping the Visitors Bureau expand into new markets in tourism, while continuing to build relationships and engage our own community.”
