Arts & Culture

Paducah's creative community inspires, educates and fosters connection through the arts. As a UNESCO Creative City, Paducah welcomes artists from around the world to share culture and craft through exhibitions, workshops and performances. National Geographic listed Paducah as one of "The Traveler 50: World's Smartest Cities" classic to cutting edge that are making travelers' hottest tickets.

The Yeiser Art Center, Maiden Alley Cinema and Gallery, Market House Theatre, Clemens Fine Art Center and the Carson Center all contribute to Paducah's rich diversity of ongoing cultural offerings ranging from live theatre, to exhibitions, to art films, to classical performances by the Paducah Symphony Orchestra.

Paducah's Artist Relocation Program drew working artists of all types to participate in the City's creative energy and reside in its oldest residential neighborhood. The campus of Paducah School of Art & Design, a division of West Kentucky Community & Technical College, is the latest addition to the LowerTown Arts District.
