 Description

Michael Terra creates emotionally engaging ceramics that his wife Victoria calls ArtWare. Not only are these things that you can look at and enjoy, but they are fun to live with as you use them to hold your food and beverages. Micheal Terra teaches classes, conducts workshops and does individual art coaching upon request.

A Poun
d of Clay
This 1 ½ hour studio workshop will start you with a pound of stoneware clay and, in the course of laughing and squishing and molding and laughing you will end up with… well, whatever you want! A big part of this is the exploration of how many ‘right’ answers there are when you know that there are no ‘wrong’ answers! Your creations will be fired and shipped directly to your home. $50 includes materials, a snack, firing, instruction, and shipping.

Cup of Joe or Josephine…
Why not have your very favorite cup be the one that you created today? This 1 ½ hour workshop will take you from consumer to creator- starting from a shapeless lump of stoneware clay, you will form a wonderful drinking vessel, decorate it and infuse it with a unique identity that none of us can anticipate! $40 includes instruction, materials, firing and shipping of your mug back to your home.

Empty Bowls Benefit (When available.)
This is a 1½ hour studio workshop that will make you feel great! The Empty Bowls project is a benefit that takes a pile of hand-made ceramic bowls and the donated wonder of the best local restaurants and transforms them into a substantial contribution to a local food bank! This afternoon you will take bowls that I’ve made and you get to glaze them any way that you want! Your bowls will go into the pile for the benefit and one of them will be shipped home to you! $50 covers the first three bowls and the shipping, firing and glaze… you can do more for $10 each! How neat is this?
