As the river flows. Behold the confluence of the Ohio & Tennessee Rivers and PADUCAH Wall-to-Wall floodwall murals by internationally known artist, Robert Dafford. Operate interactive exhibits at the River Discovery Center. View the moving film, Rivers, The Heart of Our Nation, at Maiden Alley Cinema.

 

Meet the Veep
Paducah's native son, Alben W. Barkley, Vice President under Harry Truman. Driving tour includes Barkley Monument and "Angles", Barkley's home for the last 19 years of his life. Explore the rooms of Whitehaven Welcome Center, the restored antebellum mansion that features memorabilia from Barkley's political career. Stand before a life-size rendition of Vice President Barkley at the PADUCAH Wall-to-Wall murals by Robert Dafford.

 

Follow General Grant's Footsteps...
Feel the movement! Follow General Ulysses S. Grant's footsteps to the spot where he gave his address: "An enemy, in rebellion against our common Government ... I am here to defend you." Learn the story behind the Battle of Paducah and the men of the 8th U.S. Colored Artillery who manned Union occupied Fort Anderson.  See the home of Paducah's own Civil War general, Gen. Lloyd Tilghman, where Paducah's Civil War Museum is now housed.
